What to Expect

Students can expect a safe training environment where:

• 10% will be dedicated to classroom instruction
• 90% will be dedicated to hands-on application

Expect to be in an environment where individuals are treated with respect and questions are always welcome. Firearms, ammunition, eye and ear protection, we'll provide you with everything you'll need!

Basic Pistol Training Course

In the Basic Pistol Course, shooters will be able to confidently perform and understand: firearms safety, mindset, fundamentals of marksmanship, firearms conditions, and parts and functions of a 1911 pistol. This course will give beginning and novice shooters a rock solid foundation in the fundamentals of semi-automatic pistol use.

Basic Rifle Training Course

In the Basic Carbine Course, shooters will be able to confidently perform and understand: firearms safety, mindset, fundamentals of rifle marksmanship, firearms conditions, and parts and functions of the AR-15. This course is designed to give beginning and novice shooters a rock solid foundation in the fundamentals of carbine use.

About Your NRA Instructor

Bryan Brown is Stand Alone's lead instructor. Having served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantryman, Bryan uses his expertise with small arms, tactics, mindset and real world experience as a guiding principle in the development of courses for students.

As a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Bryan has extensive experience in combat operations in austere conditions. He has also lead security details for Dignitaries, both Foreign and Domestic, as well as Heads of State. Bryan is a certified NRA instructor and a DOJ HSC certified instructor.
